How to Play Solitaire

Move all 52 cards into the four foundation piles (top-right), one per suit (♥♦♠♣), building from Ace to King. 7 tableau columns with 1–7 cards each. Only the top card is face-up. The remaining cards form the stock pile (top-left) — click it to deal cards to the waste pile. Rules: Build downward on the tableau, alternating colors. Black 6 → Red 7. Build upward on foundations by suit. A♥ → 2♥ → 3♥ → … → K♥. Move properly stacked face-up sequences together. Only Kings can fill empty columns. Click the stock to draw. Click again when empty to recycle. When a face-down card is uncovered, it flips automatically. Not every deal is winnable, but these tips will boost your odds.

Tips to Win Solitaire

Tip #1 — Flip Hidden Cards First: Always prioritize moves that reveal face-down cards. More visible cards = more options. Tip #2 — Don't Rush to Foundations: Low cards (2–4) are safe to move up. Think twice before sending a 5 or higher — you may need it on the tableau. Tip #3 — Use Empty Columns Wisely: Only Kings fill empty columns. Don't clear a column unless you have a King ready. Tip #4 — Build Foundations Evenly: Keep all four piles at a similar level. A big gap creates tableau problems. Tip #5 — Choose the Right King: Pick the King that unlocks the most hidden cards or best fits your color alternation. Tip #6 — Cycle the Stock Early: Go through the entire stock pile first to see what's available before committing to moves. Tip #7 — Think Before You Move: Ask: Does this uncover a hidden card? Free a needed card? Create a useful empty column? If not — wait. About 79% of deals are theoretically winnable with perfect play. The average player wins ~1 in 5 games — so keep practicing!
